Since 1992, Cantine Pellegrino 1880 has stood as a crucial partner for small producers on the island of Pantelleria, forging a unique “pact for Zibibbo”. By partnering with local growers, Pellegrino has fostered the growth of this cherished grape variety, which produces the island’s finest white wines. Over the years, they’ve supported local winemakers by sourcing grapes from over 350 suppliers to craft Pantelleria Doc white wines, Moscato and Passito, helping preserve and elevate the island’s winemaking heritage.

A Green Haven on Pantelleria: Pellegrino’s Organic Vineyard Estate
Cantine Pellegrino extends its roots on the island of Pantelleria with an exquisite 8-hectare vineyard estate in Contrada Sibà, perched on the island’s western highlands. Nestled within the protected Pantelleria National Park, the estate sits at altitudes between 300 and 450 meters above sea level, surrounded by striking landscapes and enriched by naturally volcanic, iron-rich and slightly clayey soils.
Dedicated to strict organic cultivation, Pellegrino also leads with sustainable practices, including an onsite micro-wind facility that generates a significant portion of renewable energy, reinforcing their commitment to green winemaking in this breathtaking setting.

Summer Tasting Escape at Pellegrino’s Pantelleria Winery
From June to September, Cantine Pellegrino welcomes wine enthusiasts and curious travelers to its Pantelleria winery for a captivating summer tasting experience. Inside the tasting room, contemporary design draws inspiration from the island’s natural colors and textures: soft gray partition walls and containers, pink-hued plaster and resin accents, the deep black of volcanic stone, clear glass elements, and a striking red tasting table reminiscent of both lava and wine.
At Pellegrino’s Pantelleria Winery, guests can enjoy guided tastings and aperitifs centered around wines made from zibibbo grapes cultivated in the traditional alberello style. Paired with local Pantelleria delicacies, these tastings take place on a spacious lava-stone terrace that offers breathtaking sea views extending to the horizon.
«It’s an unforgettable experience where wine and island flavors come together against the stunning backdrop of the Mediterranean»
